All or Nothing at All (Verve Acoustic Sounds Series) – Billie Holiday (Vinyl) (AE)
This is a vinyl LP pressing of All or Nothing at All (Verve Acoustic Sounds Series) by Billie Holiday.
Recorded over five sessions between 1956 and 1957 and released in 1958, this 12-track collection features timeless standards by Berlin, Ellington, Gershwin, and more. While some critics claimed Billie Holiday was past her prime at the time, Miles Davis argued otherwise, saying this period marked her “deepest understanding and control” of the music she performed. The album also features an exceptional lineup of supporting musicians, including Barney Kessel on guitar, Ben Webster on tenor sax, “Sweets” Edison on trumpet, and Jimmy Rowles on piano.
