Blackest Blue ‘Blackest Blue’ is Morcheeba’s 10th studio album, marking a milestone in their three-decade-long discography. In 2020, the band found themselves unable to tour or perform live, allowing Skye Edwards & Ross Godfrey the opportunity to meticulously craft their songs. The album consists of 10 tracks that blend the band’s signature downbeat, chill, electro-pop, and soul sounds into a cohesive record that delves deep into their genre-mixing musical roots. Morcheeba approached the album without pre-conceptions, resulting in an organic journey that encapsulates the essence of the band. Noteworthy collaborations on the album include Duke Garwood (recognized for his work with Mark Lanegan) and Brad Barr (The Slip, The Barr Brothers).
