Continue As A Guest Over the past 20 years, The New Pornographers have established themselves as one of the most excellent bands in indie rock. They consistently deliver new sonic surprises with each album, and “Continue as a Guest” represents their greatest leap to date. This ninth album, their first for Merge, places them among modern luminaries such as Yo La Tengo and Superchunk in their ability to evolve while preserving what makes them unique. Led by bandleader A.C. Newman, along with Neko Case, Kathryn Calder, John Collins, Todd Fancey, and Joe Seiders, the album is a dazzling and intriguing collection of songs designed to stand the test of time. “Continue as a Guest” sees the band exploring new territory and pushing the boundaries of their collective comfort zone.
