Reason In Decline Reason in Decline is Archers of Loaf’s first studio album since the 1998 release of White Trash Heroes. This album is a departure from their previous work, showcasing a new, evolved sound. Guitarists Eric Bachmann and Eric Johnson have transitioned from inciting artful chaos to forming a harmonious and sonically advanced duo. Johnson’s distinctive trebly lines now cut through the music with clarity. Singer-songwriter Bachmann’s lyrics reflect a blend of righteous anger and mature perspective, moving away from scene politics and industry woes. Bachmann emphasizes the band’s chemistry and the joy of creating music together. Reason in Decline marks a new chapter for Archers of Loaf, highlighting their growth and musical prowess.
