Live At Berkeley In the aftermath of the Band of Gypsys, Jimi Hendrix sought to refocus his career and embrace the challenges of a new decade. His impactful performances at Monterey Pop and Woodstock resonated deeply, while Berkeley emerged as a focal point amidst the Vietnam War and other societal issues. Opting for an intimate theater setting over the spacious Oakland Coliseum, Hendrix’s concerts quickly sold out, leaving over a thousand fans disappointed on the event night. Amid escalating tensions, Jimi, unaware of the chaos outside, delivered a memorable performance with the Experience. Setting the stage by urging the audience to live in the moment, the second set of the evening is captured here in its entirety and original sequence.
