Through A Dark Wood Alex Brown Church, the talent behind the dark folk and indie rock band Sea Wolf, is back with the highly anticipated fifth album, “Through A Dark Wood.” This album features 11 tracks that showcase Church’s textured sound, blending acoustic and electronic elements seamlessly. After the release of the stripped-down album “Song Spells No. 1: Cedarsmoke” in 2014, Church went back to the drawing board, scrapping an entire album in search of a more cohesive and honest musical journey. “Through A Dark Wood” delves into themes of personal struggle, loss, and resilience, reflecting Church’s own experiences with relationships, grief, and the tumultuous events of the world.
